DES M Resort Visibility Camera.jpg  Pictures taken by the DES visibility cameras on the roof of the M Resort in the far southern Las Valley on October 11 toward the north at 1200, 1300, 1430 and 1700 PDT (incorrectly shows PST). Visibility becomes obscured by regional and blowing dust in the valley beginning early afternoon.

500MB.gif  500MB animation valid from October 10 at 0600Z to October 13 at 0600Z in 6-hour increments; 500 millibars (MB) is about 18,000 feet above sea level and is a good indication of overall synoptic weather patterns. Animation shows the low pressure area with strong vorticity moving through Nevada from the northwest.
Summary.pdf  Four sites in the Greater Las Vegas valley exceeded the NAAQS for PM10 on October 11, 2021 due to strong winds during the afternoon hours. Highest AQI was 127 at the Liberty High School site in the south-central valley.
